Sustainable Practices

Our operation is focused on being as much no-till as possible. This preserves the structure of the soil and the beneficial microbes within while capturing immense amounts of carbon. We only do tillage as little as possible on both irrigated and dryland acres. We follow water conservation, soil sampling, and crop rotation best practices.

What We Grow

Baker’s Acres grows Non-GMO white and red variety grain sorghum, wheat, corn, and soybeans. Because our farm is in a semi-arid climate grain sorghum is the perfect crop for our location. It’s drought-tolerant, yields well in tough environments, captures carbon, and its fibrous root system builds soil structure to help the next crop be more productive

On Farm Storage & Cleaning Facility

Baker’s Acres grain facility has storage capacity for 220,000 bushels on the farm. The storage facility is dedicated to gluten-free crops only. The farm’s dedicated sorghum cleaning facility has the ability to clean up to 500 bushels per hr. (28,000lbs).
